01 · Overview

What it is.

The Microbot connects to the car's electronics and blocks the engine start until the driver is authorised. You choose how: the Bluetooth tag in your pocket, a PIN entered on the car's own steering-wheel or dashboard buttons, or both.

It holds a Thatcham Category 2e immobiliser certificate, shows no LED or other sign once fitted, and needs no subscription.

02 · Who it's for

  • Keyless-entry cars at risk of relay theft
  • Drivers who want a Thatcham-certified immobiliser with no subscription
  • Anyone whose insurer asks for a Thatcham-certified immobiliser (check the wording with us)

03 · Stops

  • Relay attacks on keyless entry
  • Cloned or newly programmed keys
  • Stolen keys: a key alone won't start the engine

Invisible protectionThe Microbot tag in use: walk up, get in and drive off, while a thief without it can't start the car.

05 · Compatibility

Will it fit?

Connects over the vehicle's CAN bus, or as a hard-wired analogue install where a vehicle needs it, with no cables cut. Pandora's European distributor lists two versions: one with two CAN FD channels, and one with a LIN and a CAN channel.

Send us the make, model and year, or the registration, and we'll confirm it suits your vehicle before we quote.

06 · How it works

In three steps.

  1. 01

    You press start

The car's system asks for digital authorisation before the engine will run.

  2. 02

    Microbot checks

It looks for your tag, your PIN on the car's buttons, or both, whichever you've chosen.

  3. 03

    No authorisation, no start

Without it, the Microbot blocks the start. Nothing on the outside shows it's there.

Before you enquire

Pandora Microbot, answered.

01Is the Microbot Thatcham approved?

Yes. It holds a Thatcham Category 2e electronic immobiliser certificate, number TSC741, issued on 1 June 2026.

02Is there a subscription?

No. The Microbot's protection needs no subscription.

03What if I lose the tag?

Use your PIN or the Pandora app instead, depending on how it's set up, and we can pair a replacement tag.

04Can a garage still service the car?

Yes. Service mode in the app lets the car start without authorisation while it's being worked on.

05Will it fit my car?

Most modern cars can take one, but it depends on the make, model and year. Send those, and the registration if you have it, and we'll confirm before quoting.
