01 · Overview
What it is.
Smart is where Pandora's connected range starts: a full alarm, a GPS and GLONASS tracker and an immobiliser in one hidden unit. Over 4G it reaches you wherever you are, and it can ring you and text up to three numbers as well as sending app alerts.
The immobiliser is released by an encrypted Bluetooth tag rather than your key, so a relayed or cloned key gets a thief into the car and no further.
Smart isn't Thatcham-approved, because it doesn't come with a siren. If your insurer has asked for a Thatcham alarm, the Smart Pro is the approved version.

Will it fit?
Smart works alongside the car's own key. Pandora doesn't publish which vehicle networks the current Smart uses, so we check compatibility by make and model before fitting.

01What's the difference between the Smart and the Smart Pro?
Both are an alarm, tracker and immobiliser on the same app. The Smart Pro adds fuller vehicle data and comes with a siren, which is why it's the Thatcham-approved one.
02Does it need a subscription?
It needs GSM airtime for the tracking, alerts and app: the first 6 months are free, then £70 for 6 months or £125 for 12. Without it the Bluetooth tag and immobiliser keep working.
03Is remote start included?
Not as standard. It's an optional extra that needs extra hardware, so mention it when you ask for a quote.
