Van Keys & Deadlocks

Vans are working tools, so a lost key is lost income. Van keys are cut and programmed on site, and vans opened without damage, including through deadlocks.

  • Approved fitter: CAN-Phantom · Pandora · Scorpion · Meta Trak

01 · Is this you?

Sounds familiar?

  • The van's only key is lost, or the spare's gone with a former employee
  • A fleet needs spares for more than one driver
  • Locked out of the van, including through aftermarket deadlocks

Vans are lost-key and lockout jobs with extra urgency: tools and stock are inside, and the day's work is waiting. We come to the van, on site or at the depot, cut and program keys, and remove lost keys from the van's memory.

A key that's gone with a former employee is a security risk as well as a nuisance. Removing it from the van's memory means it stops working, even if it's never returned.

02 · Quick quote

A key quote in a minute.

Your reg, the kind of key and what's happened. We'll check what your car needs and call or text you back with a fixed price.

Call-outs Mon–Sat 9am–5pm. We aim to be with you within an hour.

Which key does the car take?

We'll only use your details to reply. Keys are only made for the owner or registered keeper, so we'll ask to see the V5C and photo ID at the car.

03 · How it works

How it works.

  1. 01

    Tell us the van

Reg, make, model and year, and where it is.

  2. 02

    Ownership

The V5C, or company paperwork showing the business is the keeper, and photo ID.

  3. 03

    Keys programmed

New keys cut and programmed, and lost ones removed from the van's memory.

04 · Before we start

What we'll need to see.

A key programmed to a car can start it, so we only make or program keys for the owner or registered keeper, and only once we've seen the paperwork. It's the check you'd want if it were your car and someone else was asking.
  • V5C logbook

Or another document naming you as the registered keeper, such as a finance or lease agreement for the car.

  • Photo ID

Driving licence or passport, with a name and address that match the ownership document.

  • Registration and VIN

The reg is enough to start. The 17-digit VIN (bottom of the windscreen, or on the V5C) lets us confirm exactly which key the car takes.

05 · Cost

A fixed price, first.

The price depends on the car and the key it takes, so it's worked out for yours: send the reg, or the make, model and year, and you'll get a fixed quote before anything is booked.

If you're claiming on insurance or key cover, ask for an itemised invoice with the vehicle details on it.

Before you enquire

Questions, answered.

01A former employee still has a van key. What can we do?

Have it removed from the van's memory. Once it's deleted, the key no longer starts the van, whether or not it's ever returned. We can program replacement keys for the drivers who need them at the same visit.

02The van is registered to the company. What paperwork do you need?

The V5C showing the business as keeper, or a lease or finance agreement for the van, plus photo ID for the person we're meeting and something showing they act for the business, such as a company email or letterhead.
