Ford Fiesta All Keys Lost in Birmingham: New Keys at the Car

Lost every key to your Ford Fiesta in Birmingham? We check ownership, program new keys at the car and remove the lost ones so they can't start it.

Losing every key to a Ford Fiesta is a common problem in Birmingham, and it's rarely as bad as it first feels. Whether the car is on a street in Kings Heath, outside a house in Erdington or in a work car park in the city centre, new keys can be made and programmed where it stands. There's no need for a recovery truck or a wait at the dealer.

Why a missing Fiesta key matters here

The Fiesta has been one of Britain's most popular small cars for years, and that shows up in the theft figures as well as the sales charts. It was the UK's most stolen model in 2025, with 3,511 reported stolen, according to What Car?'s analysis of DVLA data, reported by Fleet News. Closer to home, 12,196 theft-of-vehicle offences were recorded in the West Midlands Police area in 2025. That was down 8.8% on 2024, and Ford was the most stolen make (West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, May 2026).

That's why the way a key went missing matters. A key that has been lost, rather than destroyed, can still open and start the car until it's removed from the car's memory. If it disappeared with a bag, a coat or anything else that points to where you live, the car stays exposed until the old key is cancelled. And thieves don't always need your key at all: some program a new one through the car's diagnostic port, which is one reason we check ownership so carefully before any key work.

What happens when we arrive

Ownership comes first

Keys are only made for the owner or registered keeper. Before any entry or programming work, we'll ask to see the V5C logbook and photo ID, such as a driving licence or passport, that matches it. Have both ready and the job won't be held up.

Getting in without damage

If the Fiesta is locked, we open it with specialist entry tools, without damaging the locks, doors or glass.

Programming new keys

A new key is cut where needed, then programmed to the car's immobiliser with the key equipment we carry. Remote locking is set up at the same time.

Cancelling the lost keys

This is the step people forget to ask about, and it's the one that matters most. The lost keys are removed from the car's memory, so even if someone finds them, they won't start your Fiesta. Every new key is then tested for locking, unlocking and starting before we leave.

Why we ask for the exact model and year

The Fiesta was built over many years, and the key and immobiliser set-up differs between versions. That's why we ask for the model, the year and, if you have it, the registration before we quote. It means we arrive with the right key and the right equipment, and you get a fixed price rather than an estimate.

Once you're back on the road

Two things are worth doing while we're with you:

  • Get a spare made. A second key costs far less than another all-keys-lost job, and it's the simplest way to stop this happening again.
  • Think about an immobiliser. If your keys were stolen, or you park somewhere cars are targeted, an aftermarket immobiliser means a key on its own can never drive the car away. The CAN-Phantom CP24 needs a PIN entered on the car's own buttons, so there's nothing extra to carry or lose. If your insurer asks for a Thatcham-certified immobiliser, the Pandora Microbot holds Thatcham Category 2e. We confirm either one suits your exact Fiesta before quoting.

Fiesta key questions

Can you do it if the car is parked on the street?

Yes. We come to wherever the car is: your driveway, your workplace or a safe roadside spot. All the equipment travels in the van, and most jobs are completed in a single visit.

What if I find the old key after you've been?

Once a key has been removed from the car's memory, it won't start the car. If it turns up before we arrive, let us know straight away: copying a working key is usually simpler, and cheaper, than starting from nothing.

How much will it cost?

There's no one-size price, because it depends on the exact car and what's needed. Send the model and year and we'll give you a fixed quote before anything is booked.
